CVAP Batch 17 Day 3
Hi Everyone!
It's me again Zelletalk. I just want to share my experience for today's session. The first part was hosted by the NieAyMo trio it was fun new experience for having new set of hosts. Our Instructor for today is Ms. Janeane Santos-Roco or also know as "The Golden Voice" of CVAP. We did a little tongue twister activity that was so fun to watch though I didn't participate in that activity because I'm still shy. She taught us about voice care and how we can properly take care of our voice. Hydration is the key to having the stamina to speak for hours and also definitely needs a lot of practice and proper posture. We have learned that coffee isn't ideal if you will have a project or speaking engagement because it will make you dehydrated and we don't want that to happen in our vocal cords. It is surprising to know that lemon water is not also advisable because of its acidic properties that might affect your vocal cords. It is always important to stay hydrated so we are all encouraged to drink our water and stay hydrated.
The second part of the session was hosted by the MaRupert duo. It was another fun pair of hosts and I love the energy of Ms. Maja it's top notch. We had a special guest speaker Mr. Jayjay Delos Santos or also known as "The Guy with 36 Voices" an amazing, talented and humble human being. I can't believe he has achieved so much at his young age (18 years old). I love how he shared his humble beginning and how Mr. Choy mentored him and helped him develop his God given talent. Mr. Choy has helped a lot of people moulding their talents and reaching their dreams. I adore his dedication in helping new generation of voice artists. Let me go back to Jayjay, He is now the youngest dubbing director isn't that amazing? What's more amazing is how he's so grounded and his words are full of wisdom. I love how he is giving back to the community by sharing his God given talent to hone aspiring voice artists.
I thought my day would end up like the usual, I'm just a listener and still not a talker. I was surprised that they continued the activity in dubbing. I was called along side with my Ilongga kababayan April. I was nervous and we were given a dubbing peg and a story line. I didn't quite heard the scenario so basically I came out of context from what they have initially given. I thought that we will have our own set of crush in the scene but they meant to have the same person of interest and good thing that my partner was able to go over with it and it was a first for me. I really need a lot of improvement in ad-lib because it's not really my forte but I know that practice makes progress so I will be needing more of that.
This sums up my day 3. Thank you again for reading my blog. Have a blessed week ahead everyone! Ciao!
